 From sugary romances to

intense and engaging works

Historically, men have dominated literature. Some female writers even had to use male pseudonyms to publish their works. Serious books were a male domain. Women were left to read sugary novels and, rarely, write. The social role of women in literature has changed, but it is still far from ideal.

This blog highlights writers from all countries and eras, known or anonymous. We publish biographies, and analyze works, in the literary, historical, political, and religious context. We celebrate their stories, struggles, and achievements, essential for a fair and equal society.
